I took my vehicle in for a Virginia inspection. The vehicle was rejected for a tie-rod. I left the vehicle for repair and re-inspection.
Upon picking up the vehicle I noticed the vehicle passed inspection but the wrong tie-rod was changed.
Aren’t they supposed to check the marked items for re-inspection prior to passing the vehicle?
Due to the tie-rod being part of the front suspension I felt it was important to be corrected so I advised the owner who replaced the correct one but charged me again for another even though I disputed the charge.
The same inspector who rejected it also passed it. The owner would not admit fault for his employee’s error.
The inspector admitted his error in front of me and the owner but the owner of Annandale Auto Repair charged me for both repairs. No room for discussion with the owner who walked away and would not discuss the issue.
I will not, nor will anyone in my family go there again, not even for gas.
