Here’s why I’m not going back: took my dog in for a physical exam/office visit and a Lepto vaccination. The exam consisted simply of listening to her heart. Never looked in her ears, her mouth, nor her eyes. Didn’t do a body check for lumps of any sort. And didn’t even take her temperature. When I was checking out and told the clinic manager nothing was really done and asked him for an explanation of what an exam includes, he said a temp check and a body check for abnormaties. I told him neither was done. He said we followed our protocol. Which I guess means nothing. I was supposed to go back in 3 weeks for the second in the Lepto vaccine series (booster) which the manager said would require another office visit/exam charge. For what I asked? They didn’t even do anything this time. His reply was that’s our protocol and I’m not giving you a free visit. Needless to say they don’t need to because we won’t ever be going back there. Clearly they just want to ring up charges without regard to actual care or service. And for the record, I called their corporate office and spoke with a Pet Advocate that same day who told me someone would be back in touch in 2-3 days. That was last Monday, a week ago. Some customer advocate. Are they so swamped with complaints that they can’t keep up with them? Makes you wonder.
I am extremely surprised by all these negative reviews. I have been going to Banfield and have had the wellness program for my dogs for the past 12 years and I have nothing to complain about the. Their vet is Dr. Maxey and she very good. The front desk has always been helpful and pleasant.
