I cannot warn you enough against going with this company for any sort of general contracting. This man allowed a hard working couple with 2 young kids to pay him $12K for a job we now know he botched. The tile has to be completely ripped out and redone because he put the wrong grout on the wall (per a tile expert). Which means all new tile and material have to be re-purchased. The plumbing has to be redone (per a licensed plummer) and even more concerning he cut two floor joist which have to be repaired so our master bathroom floor does not cave in (per a licensed general contractor). He never at any point acted like the major renovation job (master bath, master closet, guest bath) that we explained and were hiring for was something he could not do or that he did not have the expertise to do PLUS he advertises on his business site that he does Full bath remodels. He gave us a line by line estimate that seemed reasonable and began the job. Turns out he has no tiling experience, no plumbing experience and I would question any knowledge on basic construction (cutting floor joists). Every Monday we settled on the work completed the week before (seemed fair to us). It was not until he had all of the tiling finished in the master bath that we realized something was not right. The tiling job looked very poor. We called in a tile specialist who confirmed that and it was worse than we had imagined. He had used the wrong grout on the wall and the wrong spacing between the tiles which meant it would just crack and crumble when exposed to water among many many other tiling errors and that the entire wall would need to be ripped out. We got a second opinion and that one said the same thing. A different contractor and plumber came over and found many, many other significant errors to include him cutting 2 floor joists and incorrect plumbing which all has to be repaired. He also put the bathtub plumbing trap in the wrong location, he cut a hole in the side of a $150 free standing bathtub faucet to feed the water lines through instead of running them through the bottom, he didn't secure the cabinet drawers correctly, he didn't build a squared halfwall (it was crooked), he installed the plumbing incorrectly in the half bath vanity, etc., etc. After we told him we needed to part ways and we retuned all of his tools, my husband reached out to him to see if we could receive a small portion of our money back so that we could pay for the repairs. He proceeded to yell at my husband on the phone and then hung up on him. It is unfathomable to me how a person would allow a hard working family with 2 small girls to pay him that kind of money for an extensive renovation and do an incredibly poor job at every turn that we are now having to pay to thousands of dollars to repair and replace. I just don't know what kind of person would do such a thing. Clearly there is no integrity, no honesty, and no conscience. This IS the nightmare contractor story that you hear from your friends and hope to avoid. I cannot caution you enough against going with this company. You will not get quality work.
