I can hardly believe this myself...
My well pump stopped working Friday night. I'm pretty handy so I ran through a couple of tests and decided that it was an electrical problem at the very least and possibly a burnt out pump. I checked with Lowe's and found a replacement pump and a few required accutrements that totaled right around $500. I was going to have to make a tool to pull the pump and I also realized that I was going to need help in getting the pump out.
At that point I started looking online and found all kinds of horror stories about how much it cost to get a well company or plumber out to replace a submersible pump. In spite of the anticipation of needing a second mortgage to pay for the pump repair I decided to wait until Monday when I would call around and get a few estimates.
I started with CR Moore Well Drilling with the expectation that they would refer me to somebody else to repair or replace my pump. Well... Mr. Moore told me that they could take care of it and gave me an idea of what it would cost if I had to replace the pump... not much more than buying the pump and doing it myself.
So... 2 hours later, three burly gentlemen who were as friendly as could be, showed up, pulled the pump, fixed the wire connections, replaced the pump, flushed it, tested it, and wrapped things up. As they were getting back in their truck the driver told me that they would send me a bill. They were gone in an hour.
On Wednesday I received the bill... and was really shocked. It's tough when you feel that you are at the mercy of repair people but the folks at CR Moore were not only friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient... their price was more than fair.
I am happy to say that CR Moore is now my goto company for anything well related.
