From yoga to gardening/composting to hikes to music and spanish and a focus on international awareness, this school is impressive. It is an AMS certified school, and my child is learning so much through this instruction. We looked at tried another preschool first - a really established, well-known Reston preschool - and it was a very nice place, however we felt that it was more of a place for kids feeling comfortable their first years in school rather than a true learning experience. Both are critical however building a love of learning starts early and the Montessori method is so supportive of that. All of the activities, or "work" as they call it, are learning based. This school also is highly committed to teaching the "virtues" that create true character, lessons on different places and cultures and the possibilities that are achieved when even the smallest citizens contribute to something that can help children in need all over the world (for example, "pennies for peace" - for schools in afghanistan. I cant say enough about this wonderful little place. We looked at many of the schools - this one is the best.
