The hotel is beautiful but the staff have been hit or miss. Asked for someone to clean the bathroom (there were smudges on the toilet) but the cleaning person already went home. They said they see what they could do but they never got back to us. Also asked for the shuttle to pick us up at the closest metro but he didn't show up on his next rounds, so it took us longer to get back. Not terrible, but could be more efficient.
I did a late check in at the Crown Plaza Crystal City on April 27th 2018. When I arrived with my friends to the hotel. I was greeted with a smile by Virginia. The front desk staff. With my booking I requested two double beds because I was with 3 other guest. The hotel staff told me that there wasn’t any more rooms with double beds available for the next two days. I showed them my reservation number with details about my room request. After asking several questions about my options and sharing my concern and disappointment . The hotel staff said that there was a room available but they are short staff and the room needed to be cleaned. I told the front desk staff that I will wait for the room to be cleaned. An hour later, I returned to the Crown Plaza with my friends. When we arrived to room 408. The bathroom wasn’t properly cleaned. It was soap left in the shower from the previous guest. There wasn’t any toilet paper. We requested new sheets. Because it was hair from the previous guest. There weren’t any wash cloths or drying towels. I am really surprised at the quality and service provided by the Crystal City Crown Plaza. It seem as if I was at a 2 star hotel. When I booked 4 star quality. Hope you all improve your customer service.
