DMS does what is required to keep the building sanitary and functioning. The problem with DMS is that their management practices are behind the times and imprecise. They still issue bank payment coupons, as though most people pay bills with checks anymore. Depending on who you talk to, you get different directions on where to send checks, and whoever you didn't talk to chides you about sending checks to the wrong place. The bills you receive are inaccurate, so you have to check your records against theirs ($100 of mine currently missing). I have several different account numbers, so I never know which to refer to on payments. If you live out of town and rent out your property, good luck because they have no management portal. They almost exclusively communicate by mail, not by email, so everything takes longer. Requests for maintenance access get snail mailed instead of emailed, so you don't find out you need to communicate with your renter until the one and only day they have a contractor on-site. There's no statement of expenses at the end of the year to submit to the IRS to justify rental property expenses. It's just not good. The best I can say is that our elevator still works and the halls are kept tidy.

I had to work with an employee of DMS to gain access to a building to complete some utility work. They met me onsite and escorted me around the property to the various locations. They were very polite and patient with me while I worked.
