The only reason someone would give Dr. Roberts less than five stars...is because...they simply can't handle the truth. Too bad for them. The most important place for honesty is in the Doctor/patient relationship, and Dr. R actually gets that. If you can't handle her honesty, then PLEASE don't take her appointment times from someone other patient who values her blunt perspective, like me.
She spent OVER an hour with me at my first appointment. Who does that? She pointed out my unhealthy life choices, asked valid questions about my future personal decisions (in a caring, not untactful manner), examined my medical history from a holistic angle, and she treated me like family...a real human being...not simply "a patient."
FINALLY, I don't feel like some millionth client billing number. Dr. R is clearly more interested in solving complex medical dilemmas than rapidly billing multiple insurances. Seriously, she's hell bent on getting to whatever the crux of one's medical issue may be. I really didn't know physicians actually did that? It's obvious why Dr. Roberts operates her own facility singularly dedicated to helping patients, and it's clear why she has to operate outside the Riverside/Sentara "crank 'em out" system. We are lucky to have her in the Tidewater area.
She's truly a medical detective; she's not your typical "Doctor." Thank God.
I can really see why it takes a few months to get a new patient appointment with her. She's worth the wait.
She might tell you what you don't want to hear, but she cares enough to say it. Put a price on that.
Also, her staff is kick ass.
