The Fat Canary touts itself as a foodie restaurant. IT TRULY IS! On a recent American history and food vacation on the East Coast, my wife and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner after a day of visiting historic Williamsburg. We had the house made mozzarella, the seared file gras, the duck breast and the beef tenderloin. My wife did ask for a change on one of the sides, which the server quickly and pleasantly accommodated for her. Everything was beautifully presented, and more importantly to me, was very well cooked and tasted exquisite! Our server was great! She was was around just enough to be helpful, but not so much as to be annoying! Her bus people did a wonderful job of noticing if we needed any refills on drinks! It was one of the best meals I have had in any restaurant across the country!
