I brought my vehicle to Hampton Roads Sunroof in April after I discovered an issue with a sunroof in a used car I had purchased in February. Hampton Roads Sunroof replaced the glass in my sunroof for about $400 and it stopped leaking.
Three months later, The sunroof would no longer close from the vented position. It was cracked open in the back. I took it to them, and asked them to take a look at it. I said I would pay whatever was necessary to fix it - I just wanted it fixed once and for all. They said it was simple - they just had to reprogram it and it would be free. Awesome!
Three days later, the same problem happened. This time, they removed the glass from the sunroof and discovered the real root of all the problems I'd been having - AFTER SIX MONTHS. Why didn't they find it the first time? Now they want me to pay $320 to put the glass back in my sunroof. They are giving me my car back with no glass in the roof. The parts will take 1 week to arrive, and the repairs will cost $540. Why would I pay them $320 and then pay $540 for them to take it back apart. Now I am supposed to drive my car around with plastic taped to the top of it for 1 week unless I want to pay them $320 to fix it. I am actively looking for a better place to get my sunroof repaired.
I feel like this crappy business should give my car back to me in the same condition I gave it to them in. I discourage anyone from using this business for any repairs. They may be good at installing new sunroofs, but they are certainly horrible and just take the easy way out on repairs.
