My experience with Hasbrouck started out very smoothly. The townhome I rented was dirty when I moved in and the work the owners were doing was not finished. The staff is okay, sometimes I felt like they were just rigging things, as many things needed to be fixed more than once.
My biggest problems were with the moveout. Like other reviews stated HIDDEN FEES EVERYWHERE. For a 2 bedroom town home they charge a “cleaning fee” of $400 to restore the home back to move in condition. Your rental agreement states the home should be broom swept with no other cleaning or patching required. I did just that plus I wiped down the counters and bathrooms. I have had the townhome professionally cleaned myself multiple times and it only cost me $120. I’m not sure what they do with the $400 because I was still charged for patching nail holes. On top of the extra charges they will also charge you a 20% service fee just because they can. Don’t count on getting your deposit back or go somewhere else.
