My family and I moved to Dumfries 4 months ago. I went to see Dr Khan after I was having some respiratory issues. He has a great smile but is lacking in depth of character behind it. When he is knowledgeable or when he thinks hes knowledgeable about a subject hes not afraid to let you know it. When presented with a fact differing from his own experience he is unwilling to check on it. When I came to him for help he makes me feel like a degenerate. His pretentiousness shows the truth behind that Wonderful smile. The receptionist demonstrated her own lack of empathy on my first visit when she had refused to have me seen because I forgot my insurance card. Even when i offered to get the group number and member number strait from my insurance she would not accept it. When the doctor recognized the loss of a customer he stepped in and reasonably requested her to work with me on it. I had to get proof via fax when she could have just as easily taken the group number and member number and checked when she submitted a request for pay. The only staff member that demonstrates a true nature of compassion was the nurse. I forgot her name but when she took my vitals she had a genuine smile and genuine concern for my medical problem. Khan may be direct but he seems more concerned with the mechanics of the problem than the person inflicted.
