This company has been fortunate enough to be able to hire some decent, experienced, professional drivers that have been laid off from other more reputable companies. These are the drivers who drive carefully, obey the DOT rules for safety, spend the night in a hotel and shower in the morning. Unfortunately, Iron Tiger prefers to use the significantly less qualified, less professional and less hygenic independant contractors to do their driving because they believe this to be less costly for the company.
The operation is managed by a stunningly inept and arrogant crew lacking the skills and/or experience to manage a even u-haul franchise, much less an operation of this magnitude. These people make every obtuse and inconceivable attempt to save the company, not realizing that in business you need to spend money to make money. There are problems in nearly every aspect of the way this company is run including union representation, payroll, dispatch, taxation and safety to name just a few.
Although the company is expanding operations into Macungee, PA, they have obivously bit off more than they can chew. Once the economy improves and the vast majority of their professional drivers are called back to their regular employers, it is unlikely that Iron Tiger will be able to remain in business.
