I have been a loyal Jackson Hewitt customer for fifteen years. This year I intended to remain that way and visited this office at the beginning of tax season. My income was significantly lower than the year before. This did have a major impact on my refund. However I am a full time student. I did have my tax information from my college but was informed that this year I would no longer receive a credit. She said the educational credit ended last year. I did ask to stop the process because I would like to go some were else and have a second opinion. The manager came over and reviewed my documents and estimated refund and assured me that was correct. She also said if I did get a bigger refund at any other tax place to bring it back and prove it and she would file it for free...... Well guess what I went to H&R Block and I got back $1000.00 more than my estimated refund through Jackson Hewitt... it makes me wonder through out the past fifteen years, what other mistakes have been made on my taxes?
