After 30 years of living with the same kitchen counter tops, my husband and I were ready for a makeover. We had recently had the kitchen floors replaced and they made the counter tops look more dated than ever. We decided to contact Kitchen Emporium to do the work. They had installed our original counter tops and cabinetry when the house was built in 1991. The fact that they are still in business and do very little advertising speaks volumes. We are so glad we decided to work with them. The entire process from rip out to installation went better than we had hoped. We had hardwood floors installed about a year ago in our den and bought the wood from a large retail lumber supply store. They contracted out the installation and what a nightmare that was. Not the case with KE. All of their contractors were professional and on time. Virtually no cleanup was involved on our part. (The folks that performed the rip out of the old counter tops spilled some dish detergent on our driveway that had leaked from the dispenser on the old sink. They even wanted to clean that up.)
The rip out was performed in the morning and we had our new granite counter tops installed later that afternoon.
We had some minor woodworking as well. Two wooden support dowels at the end of the bar had to be replaced because the new counter tops were not as thick as he old ones. KE ordered the dowels and stained them to match the existing cabinets. The new dowels are even nice than the old ones as they have some fluting running up the sides to give them more detail.
Rob also put us in contact with an electrician to install our lights. Once again-top notch service.
Rob came by our home to check on the work afterwards to see if we were satisfied. Satisfied would be an understatement. He even brought a goodie bag with two wine glasses and a bottle of wine. The wine was not necessary, but it certainly was a nice added touch!
I would definitely recommend Kitchen Emporium to anyone to perform their kitchen remodel.
