We tried this place because someone had given my wife a gift card for it and it is across from the Science Museum of Virginia which we visit a few times per month. The food was tasty, served quickly and reasonably priced. There are coupons available on the restaurant's website. My only issue was that I paid the balance of our bill after the gift card with cash and the waiter took it upon himself to round our bill up to the next dollar when figuring the change. When I mentioned my change was short $0.67 he said sorry since most people use cards downtown they do not have change in the cash drawer. In the end it's not that big of a deal, but I was a little upset at the fact that he didn't feel the need to mention this at any point until I brought it to his attention. I don't know, maybe I am old fashioned, but I kind of expect someone to charge me what the bill says and not just round it up to the next dollar and figure I am not going to notice.
I’m vegan and I’m not rating poorly because they don’t have options for me but for other reasons. I understand that not all restaurants have vegan options. However, not even the food on the vegetarian section is actually vegetarian. I ordered A meal from the vegetarian section that could have easily been made vegan if you just skip the sauce. Turns out the rice and beans that are commonly used on the vegetarian dishes are made with pork and chicken (waitress told me this). Definitely don’t think those food options should be listed on the vegetarian section because it is misleading.
