Dr. Mark Hebertsen is great, but the lady at the front desk was a bit unpleasant. I had to wait for a transfer of funds from my husband since they do not give you a definitive cost with insurance. I thought she'd be more understanding of that, but instead she seemed annoyed and just frowned at me. She sat and tapped her fingers and kept shifting her eyes as if I was such an inconvenience. Made me feel very uncomfortable (body language says A LOT). And by her facial expressions, it was evident that I was a bother. She was so rude... Even when I apologized (even though I'M not the one who should have been sorry). It wasn't like there were other people waiting and you're literally just sitting there so what's the problem? Also kept telling me there were issues with the cards, when clearly it was just their system. Definitely won't return here. I will be asked to be referred elsewhere if possible.
I went to Dr. Hebertson after my regular dentist recommended him and 2 other endodontists in the area. I made my appointment for a root canal. Upon arriving, I was taken straight back to see Dr. Hebertson, he looked at my tooth for less than a minute, said there was nothing he could and that it needed to be extracted. I then went to the reception desk, asked what my fee was and I was told I had no fee. So I left, under the impression they were not filing a claim. Last week, I received a bill from Dr. Hebertson's office, for $37.25, stating that they filed a claim under our insurance for a consultation and the charge was $75. Insurance paid $37.50 and the rest I'm responsible for. I didn't make an appointment for a consultation, I made it for a root canal. When I spoke with the receptionist this morning, she told me I was lucky that I didn't get charge the full price of a root canal. If they've had problems with the receptionist in the past, why do they still have her. Also, seems like they're just trying to squeeze for money. Absurd.
