The work they did was fine, but after taking my deposit they were extremely slow to call and schedule the appointment. When they called and told me the day they would be there I arranged for a family friend who does general contracting work to be there as I had meetings scheduled all week and couldn't be there myself. I gave the person who I spoke with (Christina) his name and number and they were supposed to call him to arrange everything. Not only did they not do that, they also didn't show up on the day they were supposed to so I had someone sitting there all day for nothing. He called them several times and they would not answer him. When I finally got through to them they said they were running behind and would be there the next morning. I asked what time and they said they didn't know, but probably around 8:00 or so. I again gave them the name and number to call before they came. The next morning they still hadn't shown up by 10:00 so I called again and was told they were running late and would be there later in the day. I asked them what time as I again had someone sitting at my house waiting for them. She apologized and said she wasn't sure, but they would call when they were on the way so I AGAIN gave them the name and number of the person who was going to be there. By this time, we didn't trust that they were actually going to call first so he just stayed at waited at my house. Good thing because of course they just showed up without calling.
Once they got to work things were fine except that they did not bring the drip edge that they had included in my quote. The workers told my general contractor that they didn't see it on the order form even though he had it on the contract. However, after getting up on the roof it was decided that the drip edge wasn't needed anyway. My friend agreed and told me to call them and make sure they took that off the final bill along with the cost for removing and disposing of the old gutters as that was already done. When I called the woman said that they would take off $250 for the drip edge, but that they don't charge for removal and disposal. First of all, $250 may have been the material cost for the drip edge, but there's no way $250 also covered the labor for installation which they didn't have to do either. Also, removal and disposal was on the contract as well and it's ridiculous for them to say they don't charge anything for it. It takes several hours of labor so unless they aren't paying their workers to tear it down and haul it off then those labor hours are calculated into the cost of the job. I let it go, but my general contractor asked the workers about it and they even laughed at the idea that they tear down and dispose of gutters for free.
Like I said, the gutters themselves are fine, but in the future I would use a more reliable and honest company.
