This campground was just ok. I assumed that it was within the national forest (it's not) and that there'd be good hiking and things to do within the immediate area (there wasn't). There's one small loop trail from the campground but it was so overgrown with poison ivy, i didn't want to bring my kids through there. I expect a certain amount of bugs while camping, but we bought a bundle of wood from the "camp hosts" (a third party company that manages the campground) that was COMPLETELY infested with carpenter ants and their eggs. It was so gross and a waste of money. The hosts themselves were incredibly nice, though, and the bathrooms were relatively clean. Overall, not a terrible experience but not at all what we'd hoped for. The best parts of the trip were a decent drive away.
