The rooms are dated but clean, with a small kitchenette that has a microwave, sink and larger than typical fridge. Within the Chesapeake building there is vending machines for drinks and snacks, free laundry room, and a community kitchen with a stove. Pots and pans are available upon request. The staff is friendly and there plenty of parking. So what warrants two stars? Complete lack of control over the environment. My room averages 85 degrees, peaking over 90 from time to time, and the A/C does nothing. My coworker's room averages 60 degrees and can't turn off the A/C or turn on the heat. On warm nights I roast in the bed and on cool nights I have to adjust the windows open and closed to maintain a reasonable temperature. Staff claims it's at the whim of the HVAC and if you're familiar with naval facilities, NAVFAC response time is abysmal. If you don't mind zero control over you room temperature, enjoy. For most of you reading this, you probably don't have a choice over your lodging. I've heard rumors of bed bugs, but my room and my coworker has zero indication of it. Good luck!
