Lafayette Dog Park

This review is mostly in response to the young lady posting about my sister and I’s “evil dogs”. Anyone that has been visited that park and encountered me and my dog know how close of an eye I keep on him. I’m aware that he can play a bit rough, so I’m always in the vicinity and checking in with the owner of the other dog to make sure that what they’re doing is or isn’t okay. That said, the implication that one of our dogs ATTACKED your dog, or even that anything happened between our dogs that we weren’t immediately aware of is RIDICULOUS. Publicly berating and attempting to blacklist my sister and I, not to mention our animals, with your completely unfounded claims is even more ridiculous. This is a wonderful park. At any dog park you’ll encounter owners of all different types, and it’s within their rights to exercise whatever extra protections they choose/intervene when they’re uncomfortable with an interaction their dog is having with another dog. Most owners at this park are observant and good about communicating with the other owners. I’m sorry this particular incident resulted in an injury for that user’s dog, but I can assure you this is not a regular occurance here.
