I made a large donation to a charity in Baltimore, MD in 2009. The charity recommended Patrick Smith of NoVaStar Appraisals but I choose a less expensive appraiser to save money. In 2014, I was audited by the IRS as a result of my donation. Too late I found out my appraiser was not a certified appraiser. My tax attorney suggested I retain NoVaStar Appraisals for this situation. Some people do their jobs well, others very well. NoVaStar is in the category of very well. I found them to be responsive to my needs and very professional. I can therefore confidently and highly recommend their services. Regarding the comments about their fees, knowing what I know now, I would say they are worth every penny and then some!
