I joined Pentagon MMA a little over two months ago and I have nothing but good things to say about this place! I have been training in Muay Thai for close to three years and joined Pentagon because I heard they had a great Muay Thai program, instructors, and facilities. I have moved around allot and have been to a few different gyms but this one already ranks on the top of my list.
Why? Well, for one, the owner Vivek has fostered a real community that supports one another, gets along, and shows respect. All the students are there to learn and help each other out, regardless of their skills and experience levels.
The staff are just incredible, especially Rachel, Guergana, and Teresa...always asking how your experience is going, checking in with you, and asking for any advice on how to make things better. Kru Chon, the lead Muay Thai instructor, will whip you into shape real quick and make sure your technique is spot on. Whether you are fighting or not, they train you as if you are, a rare quality in these gyms!
Final point: the schedule of classes is pretty great. They offer morning classes Wed and Fri for folks like myself who may have not been able to make it some evenings during the week. But they also have classes that start later in the evening for those of us who work later than others. There is a clinch class which is one of my favorites (more of these please?! :)) And they have a few sparring classes where you can put everything you learned together in a safe environment.
Keep it up Pentagon MMA!
