I love my primary care physician, Dr Golub, however getting an appointment to see him takes time and when I don't feel well I get whoever is available if there is someone. A few members of the support staff are very nice, but others are rude on the phone which doesn't help someone that is already feeling sick.
Recently, I have started going to a Drs offices next to my house that offers after hours walk in "urgent care" that bills the same as an office visit and I've found that they have been more accommodating and caring that my own primary care office.
I feel like when I go to Piedmont Primary Care they often try and throw something at the problem and hope it sticks instead of taking the time to diagnose me. (Again, not true of my primary physician) Point in case, I went to the after hours clinic Friday, got mediocre treatment and was told to come back in a week if I still didn't feel better and they would do the same test again even though it was negative. I did call today, to try and get an appointment with my own Dr, however, as expected he is booked all week and I'm getting worse. After I made an appointment with someone else, I realized that I am just making this worse by giving in to it. I plan on canceling that appointment and going to the clinic next to my house tonight instead.
