My son attended REDS preschool and really enjoyed both the three day and four day programs there. BJ Wallace is the director, and she is very friendly and flexible. Meg is her right hand woman, and is always there with a smile on her face and a positive attitude. His teachers, Robin and Ann, in the three day program, and Sallie and Ginny, in the 4 day programs, were fabulous. He grew so much while he was there and really enjoyed the many different experiences they created for him. REDS allowed our son in the program not only based on his age, but also on his ability, which is something few other schools offered us. REDS is a small, intimate setting, with the smallest student to teacher ratio of any of the other local preschools, which was key for us and one of the main reasons we were drawn there initially. It's a play-based program, but Ginny and Sallie worked hard at also making sure the children were well-prepared to enter kindergarten with the necessary fine motor skills and letter recognition. The teachers (and not just those in his class) all knew my son by name, and after being there for a while, we really felt like family. We had a family emergency one day which threw our schedule off, and everyone at REDS really stepped up to the plate and helped us navigate a solution such that our son didn't even know there was anything amiss. It was obvious to me that everyone here really cares deeply about the children in the program, and their success. There is nothing like knowing your child is safe and secure and loved when you drop him or her off, and nothing greater than to see him or her enter school with a smiling face. We feel very lucky to have found REDS and would highly recommend it.
