After years of working with The Roofing Company I just had a terrible experience and will never use them again. I have a slate roof and am very careful about letting anyone on it. I am selling my house and the new owners wanted a house inspection. I did not want their inspector on the roof so called Brian Chalsma at The Roofing Company about getting an inspection and letter. I thought this would be straightforward as they had been maintaining the roof for years. They said they would charge me nearly $300 for the letter. When I e-mailed Brian to ask about the price, he sent me a short response saying he would cancel the appointment until I paid. When I called the office and asked to speak to a manager, the manager cut me off in mid-sentence and transferred me back to a woman that said no payment, no letter. I am just dumbfounded by the rude treatment after all the years of working with this company. I will be replacing a roof on a rental property next year and under no circumstance will I use The Roofing Company for this or any future roofing needs. They were terrible. Very disappointed.
