Roots At Grayson, Bistro and Tavern

Called ahead for our party. After 3.5 hours some people still had not received any food. Appetizers were never brought out. One member of our party ordered only a house salad and slice of cake. 3 hours 20 minutes later he finally received it. Many orders were wrong/incomplete. Food we did receive was mediocre, at best. Menu options are extremely limited. Would not recommend.

The service and food here is deserving of negative rating. Wish that was an option. Took over an hour to receive salads and another 45 minutes to get steaks that wasn’t cooked properly. Asked for medium and received well done. Told the server it was not cooked correctly and wasn’t eating a burnt steak and definitely wasn’t waiting two hours for it to be cooked again. Kids chicken nuggets came out with sea salt all over them. Went to pay the bill and was being charge full price for the entire meal and two of the four was returned without eating any. Explained to the manager that I wasn’t asking for the entire meal for free, but felt we shouldn’t pay for something that wasn’t what we ordered. Asked to speak to manager and she felt we should pay for the entire meal because we didn’t request for them to be remade. Then the owner who is the cook came out arguing and was very unprofessional (that may be a compliment). The table beside us had been there three hours and received their food five minutes prior to ours coming out. Unless you have all day and prefer opposite of what you order, I would recommend Aunt B’s that is less than a mile away from Roots.
