I just picked up food from here and wanted to note how calm and collected the employees of this Tropical Smoothie were. While I was there, the staff was dealing with an EXTREMELY RUDE customer. She was using a 'buy one get one' coupon and was upset that the second wrap she ordered was not completely free, since the system was charging her an extra dollar for the extra chicken she ordered. Having worked in food service before, I know that coupons usually do not apply to these 'extras'.
I thought this went without saying, but the employees 1) don't actually issue coupons and 2) don't configure the cash register, so the fact that the register was charging her ONE extra dollar was not in their control. She continued to yell at the manager and another employee, and attempted to film them being 'rude' to her.
As she came in after me, and her episode consumed nearly every employee's attention, I had to wait almost 20 minutes for my food. Of course I was not bothered by this, but only wish I had cash so I could just pay the one dollar and not subject the employees' to this customer any longer. As a customer and former food service employee, I was absolutely sickened by her behavior. Therefore, I wanted acknowledge how impressed I was by their calm demeanor and, in general, their hard work.
Also, I am sitting her eating a delicious buffalo chicken wrap w/ a kale & apple salad while I write this outrageously long (yes, that''s how incensed I am) review. Thank you!
