Ty Nguyen - State Farm Insurance Agent

I moved to the Alexandria area for several months and contacted this office to move a renter's policy from another state. I received a voicemail saying that the process was started and that she would call me if there were any problems. I was under the impression that my renters insurance would be migrated over seamlessly and my renter's insurance would be in effect. Fast forward 3 months. I'm now out of the area and looking to move my renter's insurance to another location. Turns out, though, that Ty Nguyen's office never completed setting up my renter's insurance. I had no coverage the entire time I lived there. Wow. Complete failure. Yes, I should have been more diligent on making sure this was set up, but why did no one from the office ever reach out to me? I call today and ask about it, to be told that they tried several times to get the information from the other office, but nothing ever happened. That's problematic, but why didn't they ever tell me about that, over the several months they supposedly tried? No news is good news, in my prior experience. I took the radio silence to mean that everything had gone smoothly. Coverage was all set up. But it was the exact opposite. If nothing else, I could have reached out to the other office and prodded them along. First time I've had such a big problem with State Farm. Really disappointing.
