Girlfriend and I were looking for a spot to have lunch and she suggested heading to Amherst instead of Lynchburg, and boy am I glad we did. I'll admit I chose this place expecting it to be sort of mediocre. Must say I was very pleasantly surprised to find out that it was, in fact, excellent. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and the location at the small town's only stoplight was quaint. I had the tenders and my girlfriend had the 'Carpetbagger' sandwich with the fried green tomatoes as an app. Portion size was incredible and everything tasted fantastic. We sat at the small (6 person) bar and they had a small but very nice selection of craft beer, which I enjoyed. Bartenders/servers were very friendly and welcoming. The owner/chef was in the kitchen but stepped out to have a nice conversation with us. I would highly recommend lunch here in the least. I will be back. Might even make this place a regular stop for us. Thanks Travelers!
