This was an overall poor experience. I was quoted a price when I set up the spay appointment for my 14 month old Great Pyrenees. At that time, the information regarding her breed and age was conveyed. When I arrived, they decided there would be an up charge of $30 for a large dog. I work 2 hours away and left in time to pick her up by 5 but got caught in traffic. I was concerned about being 15 minutes late so I called the office to make them aware. "Per our Vet if you are beyond 15 minutes, there will be an up charge because she has to pay 2 of our salaries'." I arrived at 5:09 and was spared another charge.
When I checked my bank balance, my card had been charged three times for the same amount. I spoke to the office and the initial response was, "oh, we were having trouble with our credit card machine and weren't sure it was going through". The duplicate transactions effectively drained my bank account and the response I got from Janet was "I will do my best but today's a bank holiday". The office closed at noon today and I have not heard another word and the money is still not back in my account.
I am new to the area and rescue and foster but assuredly will not be using this vet again but will be making the drive to Richmond.
