This is a very particular bicycle experience. This isn't your typical bike shop. The owner, Fuke, is an unusual, eccentric bike genius. His behavior won't appeal to everyone, however as an amateur vintage bike mechanic myself, Fuke is one on my heroes. He is an expert on all things bicycle. If you are looking for a specific, latest, greatest, bicycle, or for someone to size you to a bike, look elsewhere. Come to the bike club with some prior bike knowledge or at least a unique project request. If you are looking for a rare headset, vintage set of schwinn handlebars for a 50 year old bike, an expert calibration of ancient shimano derailleurs, or the fastest wheel-true you've ever seen, Fuke and Bike Club Bicycle are just the place for you. Also, teens, want to learn the ins and outs of bicycle repair? Fuke is willing to take hard working, serious apprentices for summer instruction. Don't expect monetary compensation, instead, expect to be paid in the currency of practical knowledge and experience. After a summer or two under Fuke's tutelage, you'll be able to fix any bike problem, build any bike, be hired as a mechanic at any reputable bike shop, or even start your own freelance bike repair business. Fuke and the Bike Club are whats left of an old idea; that as a community we help each other achieve the American Dream.
