To recap... I paid for the midgrade package which is supposed to get out scratches and I added a buffing of headlights.
As I was reviewing the work I had to point out they missed an entire door jam. He had one of his men do it real quick. A few other stuff they spruced real quick before I left because I showed them it wasn't done. I saw areas where they didn't buff out all the last coating and thought I would just touch it up myself.
I got to the auto parts store and looked at the car closer. They only buffed 1 headlight, didn't treat any of the vinyl, didn't even touch the scratches, barely wiped the dashboard, did a shoddy job vacuuming. The list goes on.
He immediately had me bring the car back and fixed most of the stuff at my specific request. I had to bring it back though. And he didn't even fix the other big scratch (I caught one before leaving the first time he fixed at my specific request) that I specifically showed him.
He said multiple times, "If there's anything wrong bring it back and I'll fix it for free." At this point I can only ascertain that he knew he does shoddy work but leaves it up to the customer to decide if it's worth their time to have it fixed.
I spent an hour going over the car when I got home getting the wax buffed and touching up.....everything. I had to go over outside areas still covered in dirt along the windows that were brown with dirt.
I had decided to go for the little guy who works out of a van and give him some business because of the good reviews. Now I think I know why he still operates out of a van. I'm sorry Vinnie, but I won't be coming back and I'm completely disappointed in the work. You're nice to chat with but I came to you to get my car detailed.
