We first went to an Olive Garden about 30 years ago and were impressed. Over the years we have watched the prices rise and the quality of service slide. So we are in a new town and thought we would give this location a try. Asked for a booth and told it would be 15 minute wait for a booth, but we could sit at a table. So we said "fine, table it is. " She seats us next to an empty table, (kitty corner). So we ask the waiter if we could have it, he checks with the hostess and returns "it's not available" (empty and clean). On the way out I happen to see the manager. I told him why we were leaving. Show him the table and, i kid you not, he says the reason we can't have the booth 2 feet away from the table "the waiter already has two tables and this could stress the waiter out!' We left.
