I went in yesterday for a full set of gel nails. Having never gotten gel before, and having been awhile since I last had my nails done, acrylic nails were applied instead. After making sure several times throughout the process that gel nails were being applied, I was charged for gel. After talking with friends and doing some research it is evident that acrylic nails were indeed applied and even more disappointing they are starting to separate from my natural nail after less than 24 hours. I'm disappointed in this nail salon because I returned today to get the issue sorted out and was assured that gel nails were applied, even though a powder mixed with a liquid was applied with only one coat and not a single coat of "gel" was applied. They simply put more nail glue underneath my nails to "seal" the cracks and said it was all better. I will be taking my service elsewhere from now on.
