New River Retreat

We stayed at The Panther Creek Cabin. It was charming, clean and had all the amenities. The scenary was beautiful. It was a great romantic get a way for my husband and I. The kitchen had all the things ypu needed to make your stay enjoyable.The only downsides were there was a beetle infestation (orange asian lady )around the house, windows and loft window. I just used peppermint spray to keep them at bay. They were more annoying during the day but they kept other pests away. Also, there was no way for my family to reach us in the event of an emergency. I recommend bringing a long distance calling card (I think they still exist) The reservations desk gave me the number when I called from the cabin. It was unreachable for some reason. However If you turn right out of the cabin and drive 3 miles you can get cell service. We will be back next year.
