What I love about the DMV area are the international specialty eateries such as Twist. But at times the lack of best business practices negates the Anthony Bordain rush.
I’m giving them a low rating because they couldn’t offer their signature drink “Espris” during our visit.
My group of diaspora Ethiopians came specifically for their reputed “Espris”, a delightful melody of fruit presented in clear glass, iconic to Addis Abeba (Capitol of Ethiopia). We arrived on a Sunday at about 5pm and were told that due to demand they could only make the mix smoothie and not the “Espris”. I was bewildered since there were empty tables around us. I ended up taking a sip of a friend’s knock-off Espris.
Parking: free
Again, Love Immigrants (Ethiopian community) for introducing delicious treats to the States. Just stay consistent, pls.
