AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care

In December of 2016 I took my car to AAMCO because I needed my alternator replaced. AAMCO told me that it was definitely my alternator (my mechanic back home agreed with them) because all of the lights on my dashboard lit up while driving. They did the test and "didn't find anything wrong with the alternator so it must be electrical". It took them about 4 hours to figure out that it WASN'T an electrical problem. Finally they retested the alternator and "it turned out it was the alternator". I (unfortunately) got AAMCO to replace it. Might I add that they charged me (over $500) for all of these services even though they stated they knew it was my alternator from the beginning. Right now (January 2018) my car is back in the shop because when the alternator was replaced "THEY DIDN'T DO A GOOD JOB REPLACING THE ALTERNATOR" (quote from my mechanic). I 100% believe they took advantage of me because I was a female, college student. DO NOT GO TO THEM. I am now having my alternator replaced AGAIN even though AAMCO replaced it a little over a year ago. Poor service and poor customer service.
