It was awful right from the start!!! The main entrance was not obviously "thee MAIN Entrance." The additional $45 charge/hold should have been brought to my attention when I checked in, but it wasn't. Staff indicated that there was previously a sign posted at the check-in desk about it, but they were made to take it down. Was not especially impressed with the desk clerk. She indicated that she was tired as she had come in [earlier than usual] to assist with housekeeping. Hmm!!! What does that tell you??? The hall floor leading away from the front desk had large, dirty dried spill spots on it. The hall carpet was nasty. The facility looked NOTHING LIKE THE PHOTOS ONLINE, at all! Serious bait-and-switch/deception!!! Walked into my room , and it was apparent that it had not been cleaned. My shoes were sticking to the kitchen floor due to several large spills, the front of the appliance/cabinet door was dirty, and crumbs were on the desk/table. Went back to the desk to switch rooms. The second room was 'better,' but not impeccable. Inside the fridge was dirty as was inside the toilet. The tub was questionable. Something was stuck to the kitchen counter in a couple of places, and something white was stuck to one of the cabinet doors. With my own cleaning supplies, I went to town cleaning parts of the fridge, handles, counter top, any dishes/pots before I used them, bathroom counter, and toilet seat. The hall carpet on both floors is nasty throughout the facility. On a renovation/remodeling note, why would you modernize the desk/table, bathroom, and kitchenette but keep the old, dingy fridge (in both rooms) that clearly does not go with the 'update?' The reason is obvious; cutting corners to save money. The walls also have the 'old hotel' feel. Suggestion: Do ALL or NONE! Overall, I was VERY DISAPPOINTED. Would not want to stay here again. Management and/or corporate gets an "F." Corporate should do an unannounced visit to this site. If corporate knows that it looks this way and is operated this way, shame on them (and the on-site management).Overall, it reminded me of a 'souped-up' Motel 6. My 1 star was for the water pressure in the shower.
Pretty good rooms. Very roomy but had some scuffs/scratches/cracks. Staff was ok. Parking was terrible they could use some extra spaces. Bed slightly uncomfortable and stiff. For $113/ night for a nascar race not bad!
