It's a lovely, brand-new building that faces East Broad Street, directly opposite the gray and Gothic-looking Old City Hall. I am of the opinion that VCU ought to change the address, at least temporarily, while they continue construction on the Marshall Street-facing 25% of the city block. It opened 3/21/17.
The address discrepancy is very confusing, especially for patients who are new to VCU (and potentially RVA) entirely. However, I do appreciate the excellent, $2 parking which can be found in the lower decks beneath the building. Patients will please be aware that you have to change which bank of elevators that you use at the Sky Lobby. The switch is not obvious, but luckily there are many kind people available at the Information Desk to assist newcomers.
VCU, I also recommend installing arrows on your elevator buttons, so that a brand-new person can tell which direction(s) the elevators are available to travel, merely by looking at the button. There's your UX challenge!
