Shenandoah Museum of Contemporary Art

I attended the first open house this weekend and was happily surprised to find a spacious gallery with professionally produced items. The owner Rupert Ravens is the Director/Chief Curator and personally gave me some insight into his background and the exhibits. The items include Art, Nature, and Technology as stated on his business card. My favorites were the large wood sculptures by Glenn Richardson and some abstract panels made of found objects. This is not just paintings. It is a collection of creations from outside the box. Some items are for sale, but this is not clear due to the lack of tags. A handout brochure is in the works.
