Williamsburg Obstetrics

The only reason I'm even giving a star is because you can't give zero stars. I had my first visit with Karen McNamara and it was awful. I'd never been on birth control prior to this and I was pretty opposed to taking the pill since I knew I wouldn't be able to take it at the same time every day. When I told Karen this, and that I wanted to discuss other options, she pretty much told me that the pill was it for me. She then gave me a some sample packs and that was it. My visit was over in literally less than five minutes, not to mention that I had had to wait about 15 minutes after my appointment time to actually be seen. My second visit was to give her an update on my pill experience. I told her how I was having difficulty taking it every day, and that I was experiencing dryness and extreme discomfort. She proceeded to look me up and down and told me that it "must be your tight clothes". I'd never been so offended. She prescribed me a year's worth of the sample pill I was on without suggesting anything else or taking my side effects into account. I'm severely disappointed with all my experiences here and especially with Karen. I wouldn't go back if they weren't one of the only places in Williamsburg that takes my health insurance

I tried to set up a pre-natal apt and they gave me the run around for almost a week and still no results. I told them I had started bleeding and was worried that I was having another miscarriage and no one seemed to be concerned and care. This is the worst treatment I have EVER received from a doctors office and its just down right ridiculous and a shame that I came in January and was able to make an appointment no problem and even got in for an emergency appointment for when I had the first miscarriage but for some reason it wasn't the same this time around. Receptionist were rude on the phone and nurses are apparently always "too busy " to do their jobs or answer questions. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy!!
